Vanessa Denha Garmo is a certified life and leadership coach, as well as a Gallup® Strengths Coach. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in communications; she specializes in leadership development, career coaching, and team building, integrating neuroscience, positive intelligence, communication strategies, and faith‑rooted principles into her work.
As the founder of Epiphany Communications: Coaching & Consulting, Vanessa partners with strategists and writers to help clients uncover and articulate their stories. Her extensive media background includes working at WJR 760 AM as a general street reporter, news anchor as well as health reporter. She created and hosted the weekly show called, Secrets to Good Health, and continues to serve as producer and host of the weekly Public Service Announcement show on 96.3 WDVD, 93.1 NASH-FM and News/Talk 760 WJR, called It’s Your Community.
She co-founded the Chaldean News and served as a Co-Publisher and editor-in-chief for nearly 16 years. As Press Secretary to the Wayne County Executive Office, Vanessa handled media relations, speech writing, crisis communications as well as long-term/short-term public relations and marketing strategies. She was also the county’s main spokesperson.
